  • 1) When did you first develop a passion for music and your favorite instrument?

Very early on I loved listening to music and discovering my favorite artists and bands by buying their records and spending hours listening to them and reading all the inside cover notes about the songs who wrote them, who played what etc.
I Loved The Guitar and The Guitar players.
I started playing guitar around 17 years old and got deep into studying it and playing it for hours around my 20th birthday!
  • 2) Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

I discovered early on that all the bands that fascinated me and the guitar players that inspired me had the Blues as foundation and they were heavily influenced byAmerican Blues music.
The Animals, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Peter Green`s Fleetwood Mac, John Mayall and The Bluesbrakers, Eric Clapton, Rory Gallagher, Johnny Winter, Free, The Allman Brothers, Bad Company etc.

Nowadays I can Listen to My Own Songs and Music on a loop without driving me crazy!
  • 3) Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

I should say when I had to prepare students to enter the Berklee School of Music and we had to cover all the Berklee Books and some Jazz Standards.
  • 4) What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

The Guitar Definitely is one of the most difficult instruments to master reading music on, since you have the same pitch and notes in different positions of the Fretboard.
  • 5) What are your keys to success?

Dedication Love of Music and Never stopping learning and improving your skills as a player as a musician as songwriter as a performer!
  • 6) Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

Eric Clapton because he has a lifetime of experiences to share that I am interested to hear.
David Gilmour of Pink Floyd for the same reasons.
Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin we could spend hours discussing his approach to music from folk to blues to rock and how the term Blues Rock was created by them without their knowledge.
  • 7) Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

I once opened for my idol Peter Green in Athens Greece.
While we had a soundcheck i saw him sitting by the bar and i tried to approach him to tell him what a big influence he has been to my playing and to my music ,But His Manager told me that he was very sensitive and not up to socializing, which came as a sock but i also respected his privacy so i never met him even as he was sitting 10 meters away from me.
  • 8) What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

I love Teaching and I love having students who are interested in learning and listening and eager to become better guitarists and better musicians!
