Andu is a joy to work with. He’s very attentive and polite ,and willing to learn as
much as he can from every hour that we spend together.
He’s receptive, watching ,listening and responding to greetings and questions . He follows simple instructions based on routine and shows good alertness to words addressed to him. He’s a great child with a positive attitude towards learning .
With support,trust and motivation ,Andu can get the CAN DO attitude .

When he came to me , Andu had no reading or writing skills whatsoever . He din't know any word in English Language and with loads and loads of work , support , motivation and commitment Andu listen to simple stories and poems with enjoyment today and takes parts in reading activities,recognises familiar words and phonemes, shows great interest in books and prints, can read most of the Y1/2HFW , works out meaning from well-known texts with confidence.
Andu comments on events read from fiction stories ( likes/ dislikes).
Can re-tell a story using a story map, or by ordering 3-5 pictures / events from a familiar topic
independently, and with limited support ,he begins to predict what a text may be about .
Establishes the meaning of simple sentences and uses contextual clues to gain understanding of unfamiliar vocabulary.
Andu can write from memory simple sentences with accurate use of sentence division and word order , and conveys some meaning to the reader .
He uses regular gaps between words and with support he can write simple , compound sentences using some connectives : and, but ,because .
His hand-writing is neat and really calligraphic.

Exploring the world of English language through film , music and poems are
Andu’ s preferred class activities.
He’s a great child with a positive attitude towards school and education, and with a huge
learning potential.
He shows a good control of verbal English language, ordering up to 5 or 6 words in a
sentence, grammatically incomplete / disjointed because of vocabulary limitation and
tenses.
Polite in social interactions, using greetings and social language linked to routine ,Andu
is able to extend ideas , and conveys meaning using tone of voice and word emphasis ,
responding to questions about lesson , initiating and sustaining a conversation , using
simple connectives .
