About Lauren
I am a self-taught artist, with experience in mediums including watercolor, oil pastel, acrylic paint, pen and ink. I have been drawing and painting for over 10 years, and I have experience leading art workshops and teaching art virtually for about one year.

My teaching methodology includes developing an understanding of the baseline of the student(s) and what skills they would like to learn. I then approach each skill set with a specific exercise, such as drawing a blind-contour of a self-portrait or still-life object. Examples of skills covered include observation drawing, the fundamental elements of design, self-portrait, proportions, and perspective.
