About Marcela
I’m a native speaker of both English and Spanish and a professional linguist with over ten years of teaching experience in each language. I currently work as a biliterate Instructional Designer at the University of Washington and have previously taught English as a Second Language at Miami Dade College and Spanish for adults in the Edmonds School District. My lessons are dynamic, fun, and focused on real communication—balancing conversation practice with solid grammar instruction to strengthen overall language skills. I adapt each class to my students’ goals and pace, creating an engaging and supportive environment for effective learning.
