About Emma
I’m a Biology student at the University of Leeds with a genuine passion for understanding how living systems work and helping others feel confident with the subject. Biology has always fascinated me because it explains the world around us in such a clear, logical way, and I love showing students that it doesn’t have to feel overwhelming or complicated. Teaching gives me the chance to break topics down into simple, manageable steps and support learners as they build real understanding. Whether a student is preparing for exams or just needs help keeping up at school, I enjoy creating a calm, encouraging environment where they can ask questions freely and make steady progress.

My lessons begin with a short starter activity or a few quick questions to check understanding and build confidence. I focus on the topics the student finds challenging, breaking them down into simple, clear steps and guiding them through exam-style questions or schoolwork. I can also provide additional practice tasks to support progress between lessons. Sessions typically last 30 minutes to 1 hour, and I’m flexible depending on the student’s age, focus, and needs. I’ve been tutoring for four years, supporting learners aged 7 to 16, and I welcome students of all ages and levels. My approach is calm, patient, and tailored to each individual, helping them feel supported while steadily improving their skills.
