About Benjamin
I am a Phd. student at the New School for Social Research and an instructor at St. Francis college in Brooklyn. I have a strong background in the history of philosophy and a specialty in German idealism and contemporary Continental philosophy. I teach courses ranging from introductory material to intensive seminars on single texts, as well as a course on the themes of happiness and pleasure.

My teaching methodology is highly interactive and relies heavily upon close readings of philosophical texts. I spend time with my students in order to develop an in depth understanding of philosophical themes in addition to cultivating connections between texts and to contemporary life.
