About Billy
In order to teach something, you have to first learn it. And whether it's solving difficult maths problems, writing A* essays, or something as trivial as playing the harmonica, I tend to learn well and enjoy doing it.
That's why I like tutoring. Not only am I able to help my client learn a topic, but I also try and help them enjoy the process - even if it's just a little bit.
My GCSE and A-level records consist of a plethora of top grades - 8 A/A* grades at GCSE and A*/A*/A/A at A-level, so I know the pesky little things exam boards expect of students and how to include them.
Outside of academic life, I love to play chess, watch football, and play the guitar - so I promise I'm not just a book worm :)

Having had a range of good and bad teachers throughout my academic life, I've come to learn some of the positive and negative traits of a teacher.
My teaching philosophy is based on the idea that not all students learn the same; if the way I explain a concept doesn't work initially, I'll happily change the way I explain it to suit the learning style of my student.
A-level students doing philosophy, politics, or maths, as well as all GCSE students, are welcome to enquire about tutoring sessions.
Lessons length is variable in accordance with the client's demands, though no longer than 2 and a half hours.
