About Mara
My teaching approach for guitar focuses on adapting to each student’s unique learning style. I create a supportive environment where students can learn at their own pace without pressure. I also emphasize problem-solving, helping students tackle challenges, think creatively, and apply concepts effectively in their playing. In addition to guitar, I teach related subjects such as music theory, ear training, rhythm, and composition. These areas complement guitar lessons and help students become well-rounded musicians. My goal is to provide flexible, structured, and enjoyable lessons that build skills, confidence, and a lifelong love for music.

I am a guitar tutor with over 9 years of experience, specializing in teaching college students. My lessons combine traditional techniques with innovative, modern methods to make learning engaging and effective. I focus on building strong foundations in guitar playing and music theory, while encouraging creativity through improvisation, composition, and personal expression.
I adapt my teaching style to each student’s learning preferences, whether visual, auditory, or hands-on. By using real songs, interactive exercises, and practical examples, I make complex concepts easy to understand. I also include ear training, rhythm exercises, and beat-making to help students become well-rounded musicians.
My goal is to create a supportive and motivating environment where students feel confident to explore and grow. By combining structured guidance with creative exploration, I help students achieve their musical goals and enjoy every step of their guitar journey.
