About Lauren
I've been tutoring for over 6 years, working with students across a wide range of levels and subjects rather than focusing narrowly on test prep. I'm a graduate of Brown University, and scored a 36 on the ACT and 1570 on the SAT and ACT, so I bring both strong subject mastery and a genuine understanding of these tests' structure and strategy. Several of my students have gone on to reach the score goals they set out to achieve, which reflects the kind of results-driven approach I bring to every session.

What sets me apart is that I've been where you are: scoring a 1590 on the SAT and a 36 on the ACT means I know these tests from the inside, including the small tricks that separate a good score from a great one. My lessons are best suited for high schoolers prepping for the SAT or ACT, from students just starting out to those chasing the final points for a top score, and I also offer general academic coaching for students who want support beyond test prep.
My approach is rooted in strategy, not just content review. We start by identifying your baseline through practice tests, then build a plan targeting your specific weak points — whether that's pacing, careless errors, or particular question types. A typical lesson mixes targeted content review with timed practice sections, followed by a detailed breakdown of every missed question so you understand the "why," not just the right answer.
