About Jesse
Hello, I'm Jesse! I hold an M.P.S. in Global Development Economics and Education from Cornell University, an M.P.A. in Public Management from the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University Bloomington, and a B.A. in English with a minor in Biblical and Theological Studies from Biola University. I specialize in public administration, public policy, economics, and education. I have professional expereinces with the Peace Corps, NASA, and the UN. I've been invited to speak at top global institutions, with subject matter ranging from foreign affairs (Cornell University) and theoretical physics (University of Cambridge) to GenAI (University College London) and poetry (University of Oxford).

My teaching method focuses around my students. I base lessons on the Socratic method and approach each topic with patience. I want my students to learn from themselves, not simply from what I say. To help ensure this, I often incorporate verbal, visual, and tactile learning. Many students and their teachers have thanked me, saying how grades have improved. Ultimately, I hope to make learning enjoyable and positive.
I have taught K–12 and undergraduate students. I have tutored undergraduate and graduate students, including ELL/ESL and intelectually challenged students. I see my students and myself as being in a shared learning environment. I plan my lessons according to the needs of each student. I am able to provide not only knowledge of public policy, public administration, global development, etc. I can also provide real-life stories of how and why these subjects matter outside the classroom. I have professional experiences with, for example, the Peace Corps, NASA, and the United Nations, which we can discuss and learn from. I also have experience at the local level, working in city and university governments. With me, you get all this plus an Ivy League-level education at a fraction of the cost, as I'm a graduate of Cornell University.
