Italian Native Speaker and Spanish BA Tutor - Italian tutor with Alessandra

I was Alessandra's lecturer for Italian during her programme of studies at the University of Hull, where she gained a very good degree in Modern Languages (Italian and Spanish). Her Italian is of a particularly excellent standard. She is a native speaker but, thanks to the benefit of having studied the language for three years at an English University, she understands the intricacies of Italian, the complexities of its grammatical and syntactical structures, and also, most importantly, how to explain these complexities to other learners of the language. During her time as a student of Italian at Hull, Alessandra offered drop-in advising sessions to other learners, in which she would work with students on particular areas of their language learning and would suggest strategies and exercises that would help them to improve their performance. She also worked closely with teachers of the oral classes to support discussion in class and to help other students to engage with the materials they were given. Her excellent knowledge of Italian coupled with her experience of explaining the language to other learners will make her an excellent tutor. She is reliable and always well-prepared, confident in her abilities but supportive of others. I do not hesitate to recommend her.

Having taught Alessandra for two years, I can say that she is a gifted and hard-working young woman who tries to perform to the best of her abilities in anything she does. She is kind and patient and I am sure that she will be a great tutor.
