About Noor
I am a dedicated and patient tutor who is passionate about helping students build confidence in their academic abilities. As a graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine, I have a strong foundation in science, writing, and critical thinking. My academic background has helped me develop effective study strategies, clear communication skills, and a deeper understanding of how to approach challenging material.
I believe that every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand each student’s needs, strengths, and areas for growth. My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving step by step. I focus on helping students understand the “why” behind concepts so they can apply their knowledge with confidence.
I am professional, reliable, and committed to helping students succeed. Whether a student needs help reviewing class material, preparing for exams, strengthening study habits, or building confidence in a subject, I aim to make each lesson clear, organized, and encouraging!

My approach as a tutor is centered on patience, encouragement, and helping students truly understand the material rather than simply memorizing answers. I like to meet students where they are, identify what concepts feel confusing, and break them down into simpler, more manageable steps. I use clear explanations, examples, guided practice, and active questioning to help students build confidence and strengthen their problem-solving skills.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing the student’s current class material, assignments, or areas of difficulty. From there, I explain the concept in a clear and approachable way, work through examples with the student, and then give them the opportunity to try problems or practice applying the concept on their own. I also like to pause throughout the lesson to check for understanding and adjust my explanation based on the student’s learning style.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to create a supportive and comfortable learning environment. I understand that students may feel overwhelmed or discouraged, so I focus on building both understanding and confidence. My goal is for students to leave each session feeling more capable, prepared, and encouraged.
My lessons are best suited for elementary, middle school, and high school students who need support in subjects such as biology, science, math, writing, or general study skills. I can also help students with homework, test preparation, strengthening foundational concepts, and developing better academic habits.
