About Maeve
I have a degree in Irish and Spanish, and I spent two years living and working in Spain, giving me valuable experience using Spanish in everyday and academic settings. I am currently completing a Master’s in Education through the medium of Irish, which has further developed my understanding of teaching and learning through Irish.
I have 3 years of language teaching experience and use practical, interactive methods to help students develop confidence and fluency. Lessons can focus on conversation, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing, with a particular emphasis on the areas where each student needs the most support.
My academic background in Irish and Spanish, together with my experience in education, allows me to provide practical, targeted support for students preparing for language exams. I focus on making the curriculum easier to understand through clear explanations, conversation and engaging activities, while helping students build the accuracy, confidence and exam skills needed for both oral and written assessments.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual level, needs and goals, with a particular focus on building confidence and fluency in spoken Irish and Spanish. I use practical, interactive teaching methods to make language learning engaging and accessible, while developing grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading and writing skills.
For students preparing for exams, I provide targeted support for both oral and written components, helping students understand the requirements of the course and develop the skills needed to approach their exams with confidence.
