About Mark
Success in university relies on effective and detailed feedback. Sadly, many university tutors work with so many students that they only have time to give limited feedback to each one. Completing one or two essays a term per course only offers students a few chances to improve. My goal is to provide the kind of thorough feedback that will help you take your essays to the next level before you submit them.
My name is Mark, and I love to help university students improve their writing. I have over a thousand hours of tutoring experience and have helped many students take their marks up a grading bracket. In the past, I maintained perfect 5-star ratings on other tutoring platforms across many reviews.
In addition to my experience as a tutor, my strong academic background means I have an intimate understanding of the marking schemes at UK universities. I hold a master's degree in Conflict Studies from the London School of Economics (Distinction) and completed my undergraduate at the University of Edinburgh. I also served as the managing editor of the London Conflict Review, an academic journal at LSE, and have published a paper with the US Department of Defense.
Working now as an investigative journalist covering organized crime in Colombia and Venezuela, I spend every day writing and editing clear prose. I look forward to applying those skills to improve your writing and marks.
