About Rosana
I'm a Bachelor of Arts graduate with a CELTA (Cambridge certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults).
I lived and taught ESL in Argentina for 5 years!
I have taught from kindergarten age all the way to adults both in schools and private academies; I've tutored one-on-one in homes and done group conversation classes.
I really enjoy teaching and have had great success at encouraging students to love English and feel confident to speak, write and read in English!
I've done Child protection training and have an active working with children check and I'm also fluent in Spanish and Portuguese for any latinos out there who would like to hone their English skills!

I believe language in a means rather than an end and as such I like to find out about my students' interests and goals in life and shape the learning of the language around topics that will be useful and of interest to them. I believe in teaching structure (such as grammar and syntax) as it arises in the context of conversation so that the student will understand at what moment of a conversation those structures are commonly used. I believe in centring a lesson around a particular topic and including elements of listening, speaking, writing and grammar in the one lesson so that the student will have many different forms of stimuli to help remember the content.
