About Irving
My undergraduate degree is in Business , (BS). I was a financial Analyst in a large company for 10 years. I earned my M Ed in 1990, and I have been teaching for 28 years. I have taught in middle schools, high schools and community colleges. My latest job was teaching Social Studies in a GED program at a correctional facility for high school age felons. I retired due to the Covid outbreak at the facility.

I use a broad variety of methods and materials to give my students a wide range of experiences in using language correctly. I emphasize vocabulary, grammar and spelling to ensure that students have a base in using the English language correctly. I use word puzzles, search a word and American literature to improve their skills. My practice tests are designed to measure student progress. My goal is to have students be able to use English language and improve reading skills to pass any end of course exams.
