About Aili
I made the leap from the corporate world last year to become an independent artist, after years of dreaming about taking the risk. Mostly self-taught, I've been learning as much as I can about art techniques using online resources. This includes painting, drawing, photography, and using computer software such as Photoshop and Illustrator to design digital illustrations. I've made art for a number of commissions as well as creating my own designs, and have an exhibition booked in for the autumn to showcase my work.
After being asked to host a few online art sessions for children, I realised that I love passing on what I've learned and seeing others being inspired to create their own art... So, I decided to start offering sessions for beginners/teens to follow along to. My goal is to build confidence for those who may be nervous to draw/paint/make - I have a patient, clear approach to my art sessions and my passion is to enable others to realise that they CAN draw if they know some of the foundations. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a younger generation using what they've learned to express themselves creatively.

My classes are for anyone interested in learning a variety of art techniques from beginner level - covering topics such as how to draw hands, composition, and using perspective to construct your drawings to make them more three-dimensional. I strongly believe that anyone can make art - if you can't, it's only because you haven't learned the basics yet. All of our heroes are people that have dedicated time to their discipline, and it's the same for whatever you choose to do - so all you need is a little time to nurture your creative side...
I love to provide a flexible approach and am comfortable with teaching students of all ages - you just need an interest in art! Classes offered are on a one-to-one basis or via group learning, and I always ensure that students are provided with constant feedback so they can learn faster. This also means that students can communicate techniques they'd love to explore with me in future classes.
