About Jonas
Hi, I’m Jonas, and I am from Hong Kong; I have been in the UK for the last 5 years. I am an incoming undergraduate at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama for a viola performance degree. I have recently completed A-level Music, with a predicted grade of A. Although I am at the beginning of my professional musical/teaching journey, I have already gained experience tutoring students preparing for their music theory exams.

My lessons are patient, supportive, and tailored to each student's individual needs. I focus on building a strong understanding of music theory rather than simply memorising answers, helping students gain confidence while preparing effectively for their exams. I explain concepts clearly, work through practice questions together, and provide exam tips and strategies for ABRSM syllabuses.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes per week, although shorter lessons can be arranged for younger students or those who prefer them.
My lessons are suitable for students of all ages studying ABRSM Music Theory Grades 1–5, whether they are learning music theory for the first time or preparing for their practical exams.
