About Rikin
I am a final-year PhD student in Structural Biology at Imperial College London with a First Class degree in Biochemistry. Having achieved excellent results in the IB myself, I understand the challenges students face and how to overcome them. I want to share my passion for science, helping students not only succeed in exams but also develop genuine curiosity for biology and chemistry. My experience mentoring junior researchers has taught me how to explain complex ideas clearly and adapt to different learning styles, which I now bring into private tutoring. Outside of schooling, I avidly rock-climb, play acoustic or electric guitar, and enjoy reading sci-fi and fantasy.

I believe every student learns best when complex ideas are broken into clear, logical steps. My lessons are interactive and tailored to the student’s needs, whether that means reviewing core concepts, tackling exam-style questions, or developing deeper scientific understanding. A typical session lasts 60 minutes, with flexibility depending on topic and student preference. I draw on my First Class degree in Biochemistry and current PhD research at Imperial College London to explain biology and chemistry in an accessible way. My lessons are designed for IB, A-level, and GCSE students who want to strengthen subject knowledge, boost confidence, and achieve top results.
