About Maxwell
Hi, I’m Maxwell, a dedicated tutor currently studying MSc Economics & Strategy for Business at Imperial College Business School, having graduated with First Class Honours in Politics and Economics from the University of Southampton.
I tutor A-Level Economics and Maths, as well as GCSE Mathematics, helping students improve their understanding, confidence and exam technique. My lessons are structured but tailored to each student, using clear explanations, real-world examples, active problem-solving and past-paper practice.
I aim to make difficult topics simple and approachable while encouraging students to think independently and ask questions. Whether you need help preparing for exams, improving your grades or building confidence in a subject, I will work with you to achieve your goals.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s ability, learning style and goals. I focus on building a strong understanding of the core concepts before applying them through exam-style questions, past papers and problem-solving exercises.
For Economics, I use real-world examples to make theory easier to understand and help students improve their essay structure, evaluation and exam technique. For Mathematics, I break problems down step by step before building up to more challenging questions.
Lessons are typically 60–90 minutes and are designed to be interactive, supportive and focused on the areas where the student can improve most. Whether you are preparing for exams, struggling with a particular topic or aiming for a higher grade, each lesson will be structured around your individual needs.
