i am a native Hungarian and have given hungarian lectures to several people, thus i am aware of the common problems and challenges by learning the language.

Depending on what you need Hungarian for you will learn exactly that. If you are only planning a small trip to Hungary, it is not necessary to learn our terribly complicated grammar, and if you have to talk to people, the most important is the usual phrases you need to use. On the other hand, if you need to use it frequently you also need to understand what are the correct forms and why.
