About Liam
Hey there!
I'm Liam. If you're already here and looking at this page, I'm assuming something in the world of English literature is on your mind. I would like to introduce myself as a passionate English student who might be able to help.
I am currently studying at UWA doing a Bachelor of Arts, with English and Literary Studies as my primary major. I graduated from high school with Literature ATAR as my highest scoring subject and have tutored and assisted students for the previous three years in English work. I am passionate about the scope and potential that this subject has to influence our thinking, and can help you by breaking it down and finding different ways to approach writing.

For me, close reading teaching spans across whiteboards, on paper and on palm cards due to the systematic nature of the task. I tend to break the given text down into small chunks and work from one part to the other. This not only helps my student better understand what to do and slow down the pace of learning, but it also teaches them how to 'closely read' a given extract, which allows for A grade analysis.
I therefore take a structured and systematic approach to learning and combine visuals and whiteboards to allow this.
