About Carol
I have over 10 years of experience teaching piano, music history, and music theory to students aged 4 through 64+ both privately and at music schools in Toronto and Montreal. I am currently pursuing an Artist Diploma in Piano Performance at the Université de Montréal, where I also received my Master's Degree in Piano Performance. I earned my Bachelor's Degree with Honors from the Eastman School of Music, where I double majored in piano performance and music theory. While at Eastman, besides getting top marks on my music history classes, I also undertook additional training in Western visual art history, music composition, and German language. I received my Associate Diploma in Piano Performance with First Class Honors with Distinction from the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM), and also achieved First Class Honors in all my history and music theory exams at the RCM. Besides performing and teaching music, I am a published writer and composer. Currently, I regularly write articles on topics ranging from music history to music appreciation for the Canada-wide music magazine, La Scena Musicale.
