About Yann
"Yann really inspired me to get some good techniques for rock drumming" Chris Wood - Drummer for Bastille (source: rhythm magazine) I live and breathe drums every day and I feel incredibly lucky to be able to share all my experience and knowledge with aspiring drummers. Whether you want to become a rock legend or just play songs with your mates, I can help you fulfil your goals and become the best drummer you can be. There's no better feeling than rocking out on stage and the drum throne is by far the best seat in the house. I've been lucky enough to have done multiple tours in my career and recorded several albums in some of the world's best recording studios. I'm now at a point where I love nothing more than teaching the next generation of drummers and showing them what an incredible instrument the drums are. Whether you want to become the next John Bonham, West End sight reader or just play songs for fun, I can tailor a lesson plan to you. My lessons are fun, engaging and I know exactly how to get quick results. Over the years I've developed my very own teaching method called the 4-T's (Tempo, Time, Technique and Training). I believe that learning the 4-T's is the key to mastering the drums and in my lessons I'll break down every step and tailor my teaching methods to suit your exact learning style. I hold a BA Honours Degree, Diploma and Higher Diploma in drumming. I've done multiple European and US tours with UMA award winning Rock band 'Brother and Bones' and have recorded in some of the world's best studios. I love to teach people of all ages and skill levels. I even wrote a book called the Drum Train which is a fun and engaging way to teach drums to young kids.
