About Hannah
Hannah Uschock, a sophomore at Thiel College, is majoring in Political Science, Philosophy, and History with a minor in Legal Studies. She has always wanted to help people which has lead her to wanting to go to Law School. Over the 2019 summer, she completed an internship at a non-profit specializing in working with adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. Hannah has also worked as a summer camp counselor teaching children from varying age groups and backgrounds. In school, she works as a Peer Mentor for the Dietrich Honor's Institute, a tour guide for admissions, a Peer Tutor, a periodicals student worker in the library, and an intern in the College Marketing Office. As a leader on campus, Hannah serves as Recruitment Chair for Zeta Tau Alpha women's fraternity and Vice President for Women Inspiring the Next Generation. She is also very politically active having been elected a committeewoman in her district just months after turning 18. In her free time, she enjoys reading, going on walks, and spending time with her large family and friends.

I generally try to teach students in the subject area of history and politics in a way they may not be accustomed to. I teach the outline method of taking notes to showcase the text being used for a specific class. I also assess the student to see what type of learner they are- auditory, visual, tactical, etc. From there I would figure out what other supportive study techniques can be used like Quizlet, outside podcasts, videos, or even just pen to paper writing exercises. Every tutoring session is very unique to the individual.
