My teaching approach is very hands on and I love to relate the work to something my student is interested in for example if it’s a math problem and my student loves football I will say ok there’s three footballs and your mom buys you two more how many footballs are there in total? For reading I like to have the student do the same thing if you see a word and it has a word that’s familiar in it I’d like you to pick it out and from there we’ll see what the rest of the word says for example the word because from from the start we know we can pick be out of it and then we can break down the rest of the word.
