About Sophia
I will be honest, I'm not strict, I will be very laid back, because I've been there, I've been in a point where I needed help but didn't want someone completely hovering over me. Although, that doesn't mean I won't care, I will genuinely try to help you in any way I can. I won't sit there and not help you. This may not be very professional to not be strict but I also don't want people I'm tutoring to hate having sessions with me. I'll be professional, but not mean or overbearing. We may not end up being great friends, but I will make sure to help you any way I can. If my teaching has issues, communicate and I'll fix it. I will help in any way I can for anyone. The last thing I want is for someone to stop asking for help because their session didn't go well. I may have requirements or policies, but so do you, and I will respect those.

I am really good at visual teaching and memorization. I'm really good at drawing diagrams, graphs, and explaining things in my own words, instead of reading it from the textbook. A typical lesson would more than likely be notes in YOUR OWN WORDS then doing activities to better comprehend what we just wrote such as hands-on activities, games, flashcards, reviewing the notes we took, readings, practice, etc. What sets me apart as a tutor is I have a genuine passion for helping and teaching people and helping people comprehend things better. I've always loved helping people with catching up, teaching them how to do it, or just better understanding it. My lessons are for anyone K-10 and some exceptions going into higher grades, I can teach really anything but I prefer STEM subjects, I am open to anything if you contact me.
