About Kyrenia
During my previous tutoring placement, I found that seeing my students finally understand and excel in the subject I enjoy so much imagined brought me more joy than I could have imagined. I aim to bring the same enthusiasm expressed during my previous position so that my students and I can embark on this new, rewarding journey.

Tutoring techniques include; asking open-ended and probing questions which encourage the tutee to start thinking proactively as well as to engage thoroughly with their work, allowing the tutee to take a degree of control over their work - this allows them to not only gain a sense of independence but helps them feel a sense of accomplishment due to them recognising that they already have an insight and understanding of some of the content and exam technique, it’s my job to help them utilise that to the best of their ability. I find this way of teaching helps to boost students confidence in themselves as they feel as if they already know something rather than nothing at all.
