About Lulu
Hi, my name is Lulu! I have just finished Year 13, having sat A-levels in History, Latin and Politics and achieving all 9s at GCSE during my time in secondary education. Ever since watching Horrible Histories in primary school, I've always been curious about the past, and am beginning a degree in History in October. But even though I love learning, I know first-hand that barriers like time constraints, an absence of good resources and a lack of personal confidence can make studying really difficult. I've been lucky to learn from teachers who recognise the individual needs of every student, so I know first-hand the importance of tailored learning to achieving success. But I also know that studying can seem overwhelming, difficult or boring, so I make sure my tutoring sessions are relaxed, fun, personal and interactive. You can ask me any questions throughout and I'm happy to adapt to whatever style of learning best suits you - everyone learns differently! I can tutor: - History, English Literature and Latin at GCSE and below level - History at A-level (including source analysis, interpretations, essay writing support) - Politics and Latin at A-level - General guidance for University humanities subject applications (Personal Statement, interview) - 11+ support, particularly with the English and verbal reasoning sections Lessons are typically 60 minutes, but I am able to offer 30 minute slots too.
