About Kale
As a qualified educator with a Bachelor’s degree in History Education and experience teaching a wide range of learners, I bring both academic knowledge and real teaching skill to every session. My lessons are structured, supportive, and designed to help students feel confident, curious, and capable. I take the time to understand each learner’s goals and adapt my approach to fit their pace, learning style, and background. Whether someone is returning to school, upgrading courses, or looking for guidance with writing, I create a positive and encouraging learning environment that focuses on progress—not perfection. Students can feel confident working with me because I combine professional training, clear communication, and a respectful teaching style rooted in patience and cultural awareness. My goal is not only to teach content, but to help students build long-term academic skills, self-belief, and success.

My tutoring approach is centered around clarity, confidence, and personal growth. I start by identifying a learner’s current understanding, academic goals, and preferred learning style. From there, I break content down into simple and manageable pieces while coaching students on how to think critically and independently.
A typical lesson includes a short review of previous material, guided learning using examples and discussion, and a clear take-away or skill students can apply immediately. I also emphasize note-taking techniques, essay structure, and research habits so students build long-term academic abilities rather than memorizing information temporarily.
What sets me apart is my background in history education, my experience working with diverse learners, and my ability to connect academic topics to real-world understanding, especially through Indigenous and culturally-relevant perspectives when appropriate. I also bring patience, encouragement, and a supportive teaching style that helps build confidence in students who may feel uncertain returning to school or writing essays.
My lessons are ideal for high-school students, adult learners, and college students who want help in history, essay writing, critical thinking, or study skills. I also support individuals upgrading courses or returning to education later in life.
