About Varshita
I have been learning to play the veena since the age of 6, growing up in a musical family that has deeply influenced my journey in music. My maternal great-grandfather, Tiger Varadachari, was a renowned vocalist, and his legacy continues to inspire me. I specialize in playing the Karaikudi style of veena, which is known for its rich, intricate patterns and deep classical roots. I pursued a diploma in veena and have over six years of experience as a teacher, sharing my knowledge and passion for music with others. Last year, I was honored to receive the prestigious Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Award as Kalai Peroli, a recognition of my dedication and contribution to the world of music.
