About Helena
With 12 years of teaching piano, I have worked with students of all ages and skill levels, from young children starting out to college students and working professionals looking to refine their skills. My teaching philosophy combines patience, encouragement, and a creative approach to learning, allowing each student to progress at their own pace while developing strong technical abilities and musical understanding.
I have guided students through performances, competitions, and graded exams, helping them achieve personal milestones and public recognition. Lessons include technique, sight-reading, music theory, improvisation, and performance, and I encourage students to explore different musical styles, develop their own voice, and gain confidence in expressing themselves through music.

I follow a teaching approach built on compassion, clear communication, and continuous support. I understand that every student is unique, with different abilities, learning styles, and goals, and I adapt lessons accordingly.
In piano lessons, I focus on technical skill, musicality, rhythm, and creative expression, combining structured exercises with pieces that are both challenging and enjoyable. I encourage open communication, inviting students to ask questions, share feedback, and actively participate in their learning.
Supportiveness is at the core of my methodology—I help students overcome obstacles, celebrate achievements, and build confidence. This approach also applies to other subjects I teach, such as music theory, composition, and beginner improvisation.
My goal is to create an inspiring and motivating environment where students develop skill, creativity, confidence, and a lifelong passion for music.
