About Clara
Hello, and welcome! To give you a full introduction to who I am as a person and an educator, my name is Clara Jenkins, and I am a deeply motivational vocal coach with 7 wonderful years of experience helping junior students and absolute beginners discover their voices through pure encouragement. I proudly hold a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Master of Music Education from the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University. My journey into music was not easy; I was an incredibly shy K-12 student who was terrified of singing in front of anyone. Because I understand exactly how intimidating it feels to open up and sing, I guide students using my personal learning experiences to build confidence and discipline. My entire teaching philosophy is defined by being a Best Friendly Tutor; I utilize a highly supportive, polite, and patient teaching style filled with easy-to-understand explanations. I have dedicated my career to making sure my online classroom is a completely empowering space where kids and college freshmen feel safe to make mistakes and grow. My unwavering focus on confidence building recently earned me the "Most Encouraging Youth Mentor Award" from the California Choral Directors Association. Through my one-to-one live webcam lessons, you get to sing in the complete comfort of your own home while I enthusiastically cheer you on every single step of the way!

Welcome to my uplifting and highly supportive online vocal studio! My one-to-one online live singing lessons are built entirely around an extreme beginner, zero-level starting approach, making it the perfect, stress-free space for K-12 students, high schoolers, college freshmen, and learners of all ages. As an interactive tutor turning complex questions into simple, easy-to-understand concepts, I ensure that finding your true pitch is a joyful, highly rewarding experience. We will use very easy explanations to seamlessly explore the classical grace of Opera voice, the collaborative and uplifting spirit of Choir singing, the fast-paced rhythm of Rap-slam, and even the incredibly fun, percussive beats of beatbox! As your dedicated voice coach, I also weave fundamental Music Reading and gentle Music Education directly into our sessions so you truly understand the music you are making. Because every single student shines differently, I design lessons based on student requirements for better understanding and results. I will teach you in the way that you understand best, making learning simple and effective. Feel free to share your topic before class, and I will design the lesson specially for you! Finally, to ensure this fits seamlessly into your busy academic life, flexible timing is available for students to schedule lessons according to their convenience.
