About Ruby
I am a charismatic and hardworking individual. I set myself high-standard goals, and I push myself to the limit in order to inspire personal growth. Being part of a netball team for over three years, taught me my passion to help others reach their goals. I have a keen energy for learning new things and I am driven by consistent results. I enjoy teaching because I find young people’s discovery of their inner perseverance very intriguing. Helping young people to overcome their obstacles and gain confidence is a joy of mine that I’ve discovered through being a netball coach, coordinating a film set, and being a film tutor for a young theatre group.

Adaptability and practicality are at the core of my teachings. As a 14 to 18 year old studying National 5, Higher, or Advanced Higher, in attending my lessons you will gain a well-rounded understanding of the subject, and will be able to draw from your own experience to deepen your knowledge. Not only will you be ready to ace the exam, you’ll be excited to take it that step further and gain an interest in your studies. I will incorporate a range of methods in the sessions, including (but not limited to): • guided reading • mind mapping • flashcards • modern examples • varied practices • past paper practice The typical length of a lesson will be up to two hours (depending on your learning preference). My qualifications are: National 5: English: A History: A Media: A RMPS: A Maths: A Higher: English: A Media: A Maths: B History: B RMPS: B I hold an SCQF Level 5 Introduction To Coaching Award, which I use as a Netball Coach. I currently study Advanced Higher English, History and RMPS. I also study Junior Level 2 Film at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. It is a delight to teach young people and to support their growth in a healthy teaching environment.
