My name is Vanessa, and my approach as a tutor is patient, friendly, and focused on making everything easy to understand. I pay close attention to how each student learns best and adapt my explanations to their learning style.
The first thing I do is ask for all the materials their teacher provided for the topic, especially if the teacher requires a specific method. As a tutor, I also study the subject carefully so I can explain it in the simplest and clearest way for students. Then, I explain the process step by step, using simple examples and practical exercises to help students truly understand the material.
What sets me apart is that, as a high school student myself, I understand common difficulties and can explain topics in a relatable and supportive way. My lessons are ideal for middle school and high school students who need help with Algebra, Geometry (including introductory Trigonometry), and Chemistry, especially those who want to improve their grades and confidence.
I also encourage students to share their ideas and tell me how they feel most comfortable learning, so I can make lessons even more effective and enjoyable.
I also speak Spanish, so don’t worry if your English isn’t perfect; I’m happy to help in both languages.
