As a math tutor, I focus on helping students understand the concepts behind the formulas rather than just memorizing them. I break down complex ideas into simple, relatable steps and use real-world examples to make learning engaging. My goal is to ensure that students not only solve problems but also grasp the reason why so that they can apply it to more difficult problems.
- I teach Kindergarten through Grade 8 students, whether they’re just starting their learning journey or looking to improve in specific areas of math
- Covering fundamental arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and introductory problem-solving skills.
Typical lesson plan: I start each lesson with a quick review or fun activity, followed by clear explanations of new concepts using examples. Students then practice with my guidance, followed by independent work, while I monitor progress. The lesson ends with a recap and suggestions for further practice.
