About Sam
I am a high school student in Vernon looking to help out kids who want an extra push in Maths. I have achieved high grades in all of my academic courses and have a maths level of Pre-Calculus 11. So far this year, I have already worked with one student, who greatly improved over the course of our sessions.

I have many teaching methods that I like to use in a session. I have many sets of cards for games and practice, along with worksheets. I also have notebooks for visual learning, and physical items, such as beads, for kinesthetic learning. Typically, in a session we will go over general basics of whatever the student needs most help in, then go into specifics. If the student has a certain part of maths that they are struggling in, or want to focus on something, I will change the lesson plan to accommodate them. I want every student that I work with to feel as though they are learning, while having fun. It is very important to me that they are able to know what they need, and if they don't, to learn ways to decipher what they need. I can teach students from grades K-10, and I have a fairly flexible schedule.
