About Kayla
Hi everyone! My name is Kayla and I’m a high school senior flute and tenor saxophone player who has been giving private lessons for over a year. I’ve decided to start offering private lessons to any flute or tenor sax players in grades 6-10. I plan to major in Music Education in college because I really like to share my great passion for music by teaching others!
I’ve been playing the flute for seven years. I may be in the top concert band at my school, but that doesn’t mean that I started out that way. I had to work really hard to play as well as I can now.
I’ve got 3 years of experience on tenor sax, and I'm in the advanced jazz ensemble at my school. Last year, I earned the Woody Herman Jazz Award for Outstanding Contributions to the jazz ensemble. I love to teach saxophone students because Jazz is my favorite genre of music!
