About Ishika
Having recently completed my A-Levels, I have a current understanding of the GCSE and A-Level curriculum and the skills needed to approach exams with confidence.
I take a patient and personalised approach to tutoring, adapting each lesson to the student’s individual needs and learning style. I focus on building genuine understanding rather than simply memorising methods, while using plenty of practice and exam-style questions to help students apply what they have learned.
My aim is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their confidence. I am reliable, organised and committed to helping each student make consistent progress.

My approach to tutoring is centred around making Maths clear, structured and tailored to each student. I first identify areas of difficulty and then adapt my lessons to the student’s individual pace, using clear explanations, worked examples and targeted practice to build both understanding and confidence.
I believe in focusing on the reasoning behind each method rather than simply memorising formulae. Lessons will involve a balance of teaching, guided questions and exam-style practice, with particular attention to common mistakes and how to approach unfamiliar questions effectively.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although I can adapt the length depending on the student’s needs and level.
I am particularly suited to supporting GCSE and A-Level Maths students, and I can also help younger students build strong mathematical foundations. Having recently completed A-Level Maths myself, I understand the challenges students face and can explain concepts in a straightforward, relatable way.
