About Lotte
Hi, I’m Lotte, a high-achieving IB high school student with a strong background in math and science. I’ve always enjoyed algebra and helping others understand concepts that once felt overwhelming or confusing. In addition to academics, I’m actively involved in competitive debate and gymnastics, which has taught me how to manage high-pressure schedules, time constraints, and performance stress. Because of this, I understand what it’s like for students who are balancing demanding coursework, extracurriculars, and limited free time. I began tutoring because I know Algebra I can feel frustrating when lessons move too fast or explanations don’t click. Having recently taken and excelled in these courses myself, I understand where students typically get stuck and how to explain concepts clearly and efficiently. I’m known for being patient, encouraging, and structured. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes, while also staying focused and productive during sessions—especially helpful for busy students. I work best with middle school and high school students taking Algebra I, including students with demanding schedules who need clear explanations, efficient lessons, and confidence going into tests and quizzes. My goal is to help students succeed academically while reducing stress and building long-term understanding.

Hi, I’m Lotte, and I specialize in helping Algebra I students build strong foundations and confidence in math. My goal is to make algebra less intimidating, more engaging, and genuinely understandable by breaking concepts down into clear, logical steps. I focus on conceptual understanding, not memorization. I use real-world examples, visual models, and step-by-step problem breakdowns so students understand why formulas work, not just how to apply them.
