About Lis
I have been teaching English for over 20 years. For 7 of those years, I was living in Asia. During that time, I gained an understanding of the sound systems of East Asian languages. This experience of learning languages with very different pronunciations, in combination with my background in ESL, expertise in phonetics and phonology, and my extensive teaching experience, means I am excellently positioned to help you (speakers of Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese) solve your communication problems. Since returning to the UK, I have specialised in teaching English pronunciation to East language speakers and have helped hundreds of clients speak English with clarity, confidence and credibility.
