I am thrilled to write a review for my Carnatic music guru, Sreekanth. As a dedicated and experienced teacher, he has greatly enriched my understanding and appreciation of this ancient and complex musical tradition.

He understands that mastery requires repetition and patience, and will spend however much time is necessary helping me perfect a particular raga or composition. His insistence on getting things right, even if it means spending extra time in class, demonstrates his deep care and concern for his students' progress.

In addition to his technical expertise, Sreekanth also brings a wealth of knowledge about the history and cultural context of Carnatic music to his teaching. At the end of each class, he takes a few minutes to discuss the origins and significance of different ragas, and shows how they are used in film music and other contemporary contexts. This holistic approach not only helps me better understand the music itself, but also gives me a deeper appreciation for its rich heritage and cultural importance.

After every class, he promptly sends me a recording of the session, along with any relevant materials or resources. This allows me to review what we covered in class and practice on my own time, which has been incredibly helpful in reinforcing new concepts and building fluency.

Finally, Sreekanth places equal emphasis on both the technical aspects of music (such as swara and thalam) and the emotional expression and interpretation of ragas. He encourages me to explore the nuances of each piece and to connect with the music on a personal level, rather than simply focusing on rote memorization or technique. This balanced approach has helped me develop a more well-rounded and fulfilling relationship with Carnatic music.

Overall, I cannot recommend Sreekanth highly enough as a Carnatic music teacher. His dedication, expertise, and passion for the art form make him an exceptional guide and mentor.

Sreekanth sir is undoubtedly a wonderful carnatic teacher. I'm from Stockholm and I have been taking regular classes from him. I've definitely improved a lot in a very short time. He is very knowledgeable and professional in his field of carnatic music. He is not only knowledgeable but also a very good teacher in terms of breaking things down and making me understand it properly. He gives me full attention during class time. He takes the time to explain each and every gamaka carefully and patiently and makes sure that I get it right before he moves on. He also takes classes regularly and tries never to miss a class.

First and foremost,I like the interactive way of teaching . Having a very effective way of teaching . Makes environment comfortable to ask questions.

Sreekanth Damodaran is a good teacher who is very experienced in the filed. He never makes me feel bad about my mistakes. He always encourages me to practice , always inspires me that with the right amount of practice I will sing good after he considered how I sing. He corrects mistakes whenever they are made implying that it will not be mere unresponsive ,blind sessions where teacher just listens to the student .

He is one of the best music teachers I have had. His love, passion and dedication for music is commendable. He is humble, friendly , approachable and yet very professional. I love how flexible and punctual he is for each class . I heard him on YouTube and immediately contacted him to learn from him . I highly recommend him. You will really learn something from him.

Sreekanth is a very experienced teacher. He is a very patient teacher. He patiently corrects me whenever I make mistakes. I'm lucky to learn under Sreekanth Damodaran. His teaching pace is neither too slow nor too fast.

Sreekanth sir is a very good teacher. He takes classes from the point of view of students so that beginner students can also learn easily. He is very experienced in teaching. I could grasp his teaching quicker than other teacher I learnt under.
