About Laica
Hello! My name is Laica Domingo, and I am an ESL teacher with experience in both online and in-person instruction. I earned my Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in Social Science, from Isabela State University, and I hold a TEFL certification, along with other language teaching certificates, including EF SET C2 proficiency. I began teaching English in 2023 through in-person tutoring, where I worked with learners of different ages and levels, helping them improve their grammar, pronunciation, and communication skills. In 2025, I transitioned to online teaching through Preply, where I now provide personalized lessons tailored to each student’s goals, learning styles, and cultural backgrounds. My classes are interactive and practical, using discussions, role-plays, real-world texts, and engaging activities to help students build both fluency and confidence. Beyond teaching, I have developed strong technical and organizational skills, from using Canva and Google Workspace to preparing structured lessons and visual learning materials. I believe in creating a supportive environment where students not only improve their English but also feel empowered to use it confidently in everyday life.
