About Ash
I was born in New York, and grew up with a family who really valued education as a path to the future. Both my parents came on student visas, and later stayed on work visas, and saw this country as a land of opportunity.
I was raised on dreams of possibility, and all my writing and teaching of writing expresses this possibility.
I love to read, write, and sing.
I am professional, friendly, and like to keep things light with a sense of humor.
I believe in the power of collaboration.

I majored in English at Saint Mary's College. SMC is the premier Liberal Arts college in the West Coast. Through my experience in my major, I acquired experience writing for the newspaper, organizing public events, public speaking, and of course, writing essays, research papers, and honors theses.
Personality-wise, I am kind, patient, and interested in pushing my students to excel and reach their highest writing aspirations!
