About Marco
I am a writer with 3 complete novels and a poetry collection who receieved a grade 9 in my English GCSE exam, so I don't just teach it — I have done it.
I went on to study English Literature at the University of East Anglia, world-renowned for the authors it has produced.
I now work as the Head of NumberWorksn'Words Hitchin's English Department — a tuition school in Hertfordshire, where I teach students from reception all the way to GCSE.

Everything taught is directly relevant to what will be on the test paper, and all knowledge taught is put into practice.
Lessons are engaging, using methods which ensure the material actually goes in and that the student can see the purpose of the learning.
For younger students, I consolidate their knowledge on the extremely valuable writing devices and grammatical terms, and then we practise those through creative writing, both formal and informal. They will not just know it and recognise it, they will be comfortable using it.
