About Avril

I am caring and empathetic. My personality and rapport with learners is second to none. I am very dedicated to teaching and always put my learners first . I will make sure that the learners achieve their best. As much as I’m a serious teacher I can also have fun with the learners. I am a Departmental head for Foundation Phase. I supervise grade 1 and grade 2 educators. Apart from supervising these grades, I myself am a grade 2 educator. Prior to this I have also been a post level 1 Grade R and Grade 1 educator. I am familiar with current policies, the CAPS curriculum and I have 15 years of teaching experience. I teach English Home language, Afrikaans First additional, Mathematics and Life Skills.

to engage in class teaching including the academic, administrative, educational and disciplinary aspects. To prepare lessons and to take on leadership roles. Plans and designs teaching and learning activities where learning is a collective enterprise, integrative, active and goal-orientated. Able to influence colleagues with decisive recommendations and has a clear sense of how decisions can be implemented.
