About Shane
My name is Shane and I am from Santry on the north side of Dublin where I attended Dublin City University for my degree in Mathematical Science. From an early age I was passionate about maths.
I started my journey of teaching maths in secondary school where I would help my younger brother with his homework. I also tutored my brother for his Leaving Cert. I went on to help my cousin and my friend prepare for their Leaving Cert. My friend had a maths module in Linear Algebra in his degree and I help him to prepare for his exam. I also tutored my brother for a maths module in his Accountancy & Finance degree.
I have great confidence in my mathematics and teaching abilities and I carry out my role with the utmost professionalism. I love tutoring maths and have patience with students who may be intimidated bythe subject.

I have over 10 years experience tutoring family members, friends and university students. A typical length of alesson in 1 hour hour but I am happy to do longer if required. I teach Junior an Leaving Cert students at all levels. I teaching method is to ask the student questions to test there understanding of the topic and work through problems together. My lessons are for secondary school students but alsoam happy to teach primary school level.
