About Any
I am a mother of 4 amazing children, I have been a nurse for 15 years and I assure you, I have an immense amount of patience. I know learning a new skill can sometimes be intimidating. I am a holistic health enthusiast, and developing my health coaching practice as well. My great-grandmother Betty taught me to crochet when I was 6 years old, bless her for her patience with me, and I have been doing it ever since. I have made slippers, a child's dress, sweaters, blankets, totes, wristlets, purses, stuffed animals, shawls, skirts, hanging baskets, and more. I haven't read a pattern that I can't complete. In this world we live in today with so much synthetic material (AI, genetically modified food, fake Christmas trees, etc), I believe that when making a handmade item, one should be able to tell it was handmade. Sometimes that can be on a tag, but I like to leave a small mistake in the piece, barely noticeable to the untrained eye. I think it gives the piece meaning, and shows it was made by a human.

I teach with patience and enthusiasm. We start with the basics and repeat until you feel like you are ready to learn the next stitch. I love beginners mistakes because that is the best way to learn, and it gives us a chance to laugh at something silly.
I am a fun teacher and I like to joke when it's appropriate.
I have taught all ages, and all skill levels. Beginners start with the basics, and if you are intermediate or advanced looking to learn a new stitch or style, I can meet you where you are on your crochet journey.
I know how it feels to learn something new, especially when you are making your fingers move in a way they aren't used to. We can take all the time you need, and my encouragement is endless!
