About Piper
I am a passionate guitar instructor with nine years of experience and a Bachelor of Music Education with a focus on guitar. Teaching has always been more than a profession for me—it is a way to share my love for composing and arranging music with others. I enjoy helping students explore their creativity while building strong technical skills and musical understanding.
My teaching philosophy blends structure with engagement. I focus on developing foundational techniques such as scales, modes, and rhythm training, while also nurturing skills in songwriting and performance. Lessons are carefully designed to balance theory, practice, and real-world application, helping students see progress quickly and enjoy the learning process.
I mentor Intermediate to Advanced students as well as aspiring professional guitarists, guiding them through performance coaching, improvisation, and arranging pieces to suit their personal style. I emphasize practical skills that students can apply on stage or in personal projects. Creativity, discipline, and confidence are central to every session.

My guitar teaching approach focuses on building strong fundamentals while helping each student discover their unique musical voice. I guide learners step by step from basic posture and hand coordination to confident performance. Students develop core skills such as rhythm control, fingerstyle technique, chord transitions, scales, and ear training.
I also integrate music theory in a practical way so students understand harmony, chord progressions, and song structure while playing. Lessons explore classical technique, jazz harmony, acoustic strumming patterns, electric guitar expression, and bass foundations. I help learners appreciate both precise traditional technique and expressive modern playing styles.
Modern technology supports our learning process. I use digital tuners, metronome apps, recording tools, backing tracks, and interactive practice platforms to improve timing and musical awareness. Students also learn about sound tone shaping and simple recording methods for creative exploration.
Every lesson is personalized according to the learner’s goals pace and interests. I encourage creativity through improvisation songwriting and musical interpretation. My goal is to help students grow confident skilled and passionate about guitar while enjoying the journey of making music.
