About Rina
I am a dedicated guitar tutor with a bachelor’s degree in music and nine years of experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels. My journey with the guitar began in my early teens, and over the years, it evolved from a personal passion into a professional calling. I take great pride in helping others discover their own musical voice through the instrument. Throughout my teaching career, I’ve worked in both one-on-one and group settings, covering a wide range of genres including classical, rock, blues, pop, and folk. My approach is student-centered—I adapt my lessons based on individual goals, whether that’s mastering fingerstyle technique, learning favorite songs, or preparing for performances and exams. I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps. As a lifelong learner, I continuously study new methods and musical styles to keep my teaching fresh and effective. I also stay actively engaged in the music community by performing, composing, and collaborating with fellow musicians. This real-world experience brings a dynamic energy to my lessons and helps students connect theory with practice. What I find most rewarding is witnessing the growth and confidence my students gain over time. Whether a student wants to play casually or pursue music more seriously, I am committed to guiding them every step of the way. Teaching guitar is not just a job for me—it’s a way to share joy, discipline, and creativity through music.

My guitar lessons are designed to inspire creativity, build technical skills, and develop a strong musical foundation for each student. Whether you're picking up the guitar for the first time or seeking to refine your technique, I tailor every lesson to meet your specific goals and musical interests. We focus on practical skills like chord transitions, fingerstyle techniques, and improvisation while also incorporating music theory in a fun, approachable way.
A typical lesson includes warm-ups, targeted exercises, and song-based learning to keep sessions engaging and productive. Chord work and strumming patterns are emphasized for rhythm guitar, while lead players can explore scales, licks, and soloing techniques. I also teach how to read tablature and standard notation when needed, giving students tools to learn independently.
For those interested in fingerstyle or classical guitar, I guide students through right-hand technique, tone production, and dynamics. We work on repertoire that’s suited to your level, gradually building complexity and expressiveness. Improvisation is introduced through scale practice and jam-style playing, helping students unlock their creativity and musical intuition.
Each lesson is structured to maintain progress while allowing flexibility for exploration. I create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating small wins. My goal is to nurture a lifelong love of playing the guitar and to help every student express themselves confidently through music.
